WOW! Tiger Creek Falls Inn vacation rentals (Formally Ballard Chalets) is the most unique mountain retreat you will ever find, with cascading waterfalls all around. There is actually overlook access to 2 beautiful waterfalls right here on the premises one is over 30 ft high. Family owned and operated for over 20 yrs , it is truly a perfect spot for your next family vacation. Granny and Grandpa have done an unbelievable job of making their place a private and peaceful retreat, from all the "hustle and bustle of daily life". They live right on the premises to assure their guests have quality service at all times. Grandpa has built steps and decks that enable guests to overlook BOTH of these gorgeous waterfalls, and there is walk around decks with rocking chairs and swings everywhere. They have recently added mulch covered trails, that wind in and around the surrounding forest and go right to the edge of the waterfall. They have just put in new picnic tables and swings, and a "Big Firepit" where guests can have a bonfire, right by the waters edge. Grandpa has recently built a beautiful new playground for the younger crowd.. We are surrounded by pine trees that are hundreds of ft tall, so it's like you're staying in "A Giant Tree House". We are easy to find, our driveway comes right off HWY 441 just 6 miles north of the famous Tallulah Gorge and we are only 4 1/2 miles south of the beautiful town of Clayton, where there are lots of restaurants and a Walmart Super Center.

This is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the N.E Georgia mountains. There is so much to do close by, (click HERE for nearby activities listed on our website). If you like to hike, there are lots of hiking and biking trails close by us. The famous Tallulah Gorge is just 6 miles down the road, and there are dozens of beautiful waterfalls to explore closeby.

We are close to 4 state parks:

1. Black Rock Mountain State Park

2. Unicoi State Park

3. Moccasin Creek State Park

4. Tallulah Gorge State Park

Just down the road is an attraction called Goats on the Roof and YES there actually ARE goats on the roof . Kids can pet and feed tiny goats as they watch them go in and out of their little houses on overhead bridges. They can do gem mining, eat home made ice creams and candies, and check out crafts made by local people (there is no admission fee and a great place for kids of all ages).We are just minutes away from the Tiger Mountain Winery and also the Tiger Drive-In. This is one of the few remaining drive in theatres left in the United States and they show current movies too. From our state parks to trout fishing, antique shopping, crafts, apples, restaurants, river rafting, tubing, horseback riding,  gem mining, golf, tennis, skiing,the rodeo in Rabun County, and so much more the northeast Georgia mountains offers a wide variety of recreation for everyone.

If you like horseback riding we can recommend two places close by.  For the "More Experienced rider" we recommend Equus Meadow Stables. I have personally been to Equus Meadow Stables and highly recommend it!! Smokey Mountain Stables in Lakemont is just about a 5 minute drive from us. They offer pony rides, and trail rides and they also have a small petting zoo for small children.

You won't want to miss dining at the famous Dillard House Restaurant This is a beautiful restaurant with great country food, and a magnificent view of the mountains and surrounding gardens. The town of Dillard has several indoor AND outdoor flea markets, as well as lots of antique shops and craft stores. They also have a great place for trout fishing. Visit Andy's Trout Farm where overstocked ponds guarantee your child will catch a fish. You can rent a fishing pole and buy your bait right there, and they will even clean the fish you catch.

If you want an "All Day Adventure" for your family, visit nearby Helen Just about a half hours drive from us, the kids can go to Helen Waterpark and go tubing down the "Cool River" The town of Helen is like a little "Swiss Village" with lots of shops and restaurants. OR you can drive approx 1/2 hr north of us and go to  "Scaly Mountain Outdoor Center". This is such a cool place for EVERYONE. They offer year round tubing You can go snow tubing and ice skating in the wintertime and go astro turf tubing in the summertime.

The Fun Factory is another great place for kids of all ages (also only about 1/2 hr drive from us). They have a huge carousel, go cart rides, bumper cars, bowling, putt putt golf, lazer tag, and LOTS of arcade games. They have a pizza area AND a full service restaurant called "The Boiler Room" and just across the street from the Fun Factory is "Smokey Mountain Performing Arts Center". This is an absolutely gorgeous theatre hosting all kinds of concerts , live plays , and comedy shows with lots of special events for kids as well. Their tickets are VERY reasonable and offers "A Special Night Out On The Town" for special occasions.

The northeast Georgia mountains offer several places to go white water rafting on the famous Chattooga River. "Southeastern Expeditions" is only about a 20 minute drive from us, and Wildwater Ltd is another great place to go river rafting that is also close by. Rabun County offers great swimming and boating activities on nearby Lake Rabun and Lake Burton and don't forget the Rabun County recreation department has a nice swimming pool open to the public and that is just down the road from us. They also have tennis courts in the same area.

We have beautiful cabins located up on the hillside kinda separated from the other units. These cottages are decorated like "Little Swiss chalets" with beautiful swag valances and lofts, where kids LOVE to sleep in their sleeping bags. We have 9 different suites and cabins, offering different options depending on your individual needs for lodging. Six of our units have FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHENS which means hey have a stove, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, dishes, pots and pans, etc. Some suites have living rooms and some suites offer multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and ALL units have walk around decks with access to BBQ grills and lots of outside tables and chairs. WI FI access is available to most units.

We can house 26 people comfortably at one time by using all 9 units.... so this is a GREAT place for family reunions, marriage seminars, religious retreats, business seminars, youth groups, and family vacations. We also offer a beautiful conference room that goes completely across the back of the main building, and has a unbelievably beautiful view of the waterfall below.
